Modern 12 Bee Block: March

My bee block for March required teal/aqua, gray, and yellow. I have a bit of teal in my stash, but very little gray and yellow. Time for a shopping trip. Last week, I hit three local quilt stores: Whimsy Cottage, Quilter’s Haven, and Material Girl. I walked away with this fine fabrics:
I’m happy with the additions to my stash. Aside for the fabric on top, I purchased 1/3 yard of each print. It’s interesting to see the variety in size. Some stores are definitely more generous than other. I quickly used some of these prints to finish my bee block.
I’ll be sad to see this one go away. I like the teal/yellow combination more than I imagined. It will be fun to see the block owner turn this into a fun quilt.
Now it’s time to think about my block for April.

Love the yellow and teal in this block. It makes a very stricking color combination. I am North of Salt Lake and just found that there is a modern quilt guild in SL. I tried to join the big tent community a couple of weeks ago and i am waiting for the administrator to accept me. Is this a closed group? I would love to be a prt of this group.
