Binding on Pillows

mod mosaic pillows

I added the binding to my mod mosaic pillows. I did the whole process by machine. Normally, I sew it to the front my machine and to the back by hand. On the pillows, I sewed the bind to the back first and the front last. The stitching on the front is suppose to look like a nice edge stitch. I can’t decide how I feel about it. Aside for the fabric on top, I purchased 1/3 yard of each print. It’s interesting [...]

Basting Marathon

My Saturday evening was spent basting this huge quilt. Getting to this point took a bit of effort. I finished the quilt top probably 18 months ago. For some reason, I got it into my head that the quilt top measured 100″ x 100″. I knew I wanted the quilt blocks to be an even number. Over the past month, I’ve been rounding up supplies to finish the quilt. I bought a king-sized batting and [...]
