Weekend Quilting Progress
Over the weekend, I made a bit of progress on the checkerboard quilt. The middle is quilted with a cross-hatch design. I need to bury the threads and quilt the border. I’m planning on using a pebble design.
I can’t decide if the quilt is too white. I may have gotten stuck on the thought of using a solid so that the printed fabric could stand out. The back and the binding is a bright orangey-red color. It should pull it all together.
While I was busy quilting, my sweet cat, Calypso, curled up into a basket for a little nap.
Calypso hasn’t met a box or basket that she didn’t like. None the less, I’m impressed that she squeezed herself into the basket. She’s on the round side. Now, it’s her to-go place in my sewing room.

Love the quilt! Squares are the new black! Can’t wait to see it in person
Lovely quilt. I think the white helps the blocks pop. Looking forward to seeing the finished project.
My Tina loves to curl up in baskets or boxes which are smaller then her, but she still manages it. She also considers it her personal duty to keep mama company through out the house.
