Slow Going

Since I finished my last quilt, my quilting/sewing took a nose dive. I have managed a few little things. First, I quilted the doll quilt that I started several years ago. The quilt lines follow the curves. It’s quite simple, yet effective.

While I don’t have immediate plans for the quilt, my cat, Echo, thinks it’s a great place for a cat nap.

The flip side of not quilting is getting to enjoy a beautiful summer. Our tomato plants have kicked into a productivity mode. I love the taste of fresh tomatoes. On Sunday, I gathered a bowl full. I’ll probably gather the last of the tomatoes, including the green ones, this weekend. Before I know it, the night temperatures will fall too low. In fact, I’m already cutting it a bit close as it is.

Now my next trick will be quilting a quilt top that I finished a year ago. The fabrics for the back and binding are ready to go. Now I just need to get moving.
