Two More Borders

Well after posting my progress on the half-hexagon quilt, I decided to just go ahead and add some borders.

I like it. I do wish the last border was just a touch wider. I used 2.5″ squares. Really I didn’t have enough fabric to do much more. If I was going to plan this quilt, buy fabric, etc, I would make the last border a piano key border. It needs a bit of weight. Regardless, I’m happy.

Now I need to think about quilting it. It’s just about 60″ square, which is the perfect size for me to quilt. Since it so geometrical, I think it need some free-flowing design. Any thoughts?
