Take-a-Quilt-to-Work Day

On Monday, the office where I work was freezing cold. The powers that be really didn’t believe that there was a problem until building management admitted that the boiler was broken and wouldn’t be fixed until Tuesday afternoon/Wednesday morning. Nice. On the bright side, we’re having very nice above average weather. So it could be worse. On the not-so-bright side, by the end of the day my hands hurt just from being cold.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands. No pun intended. Today I brought a nice little lap quilt to work and wrapped it over my legs. While it really didn’t keep my hands warm, it kept the rest of me warm. I just might keep the quilt at work for a while. It’s nice to be cozy at work.
