Books on Tape
I’ve managed to condition myself to needing background noise while I do just about everything. I like to catch up on my TV (thanks to hulu and abc.com) while I sew. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long to get through the latest episodes of Glee and Grey’s Anatomy. So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to download an mp3 of Crime and Punishment. (What’s the modern phrase for books on tap? We need a clever [...]

Scraps of Fabric
The process of making the Colored Bar-code Quilt changed what I thought about scrap quilts. Previously, I didn’t appreciate scrap quilts. I thought they looked disjointed and unfinished. Echo Says Hi
Echo suffers from youngest-cat syndrome. Which means her nice owners don’t take enough pictures of her. Nor do they share the few pictures that they do take. Well today, I’m making amends with Echo. Here’s a nice pretty picture of Echo while she supervises me while I tried to read a book. Life wouldn’t be the same without Echo.

Halloween 2009
As an adult, I’m not really into Halloween. It’s just not my holiday. Yet at work it’s a big holiday. Almost everybody dresses up in creative costumes. This year I toiled with just taking the day off and avoiding the whole thing. Then with the help of a few co-workers, I came up with a costume idea. Coraline! This is the only picture that I got. It doesn’t show off my sweater with stars all [...]

NaBloPoMo 2009
Yep. Once again it’s November which means it’s time to write a post a day. While this exercise is always a bit of work, it always reminds me why I enjoy blogging. Also, I find my productivity increases as I look for topics to post. I’m sure this month won’t be any different. If you’d like to see other blogs that are participating in the exercise, hop on over to the official blog roll. This [...]
