Organizing My Recipes
Nov 8, 2009 A House is a Home
Many years ago, I started organizing my recipes in a 3-ring binder. After years of neglect it looks like this:

Sometimes I can find what I’m looking. Yet every time I open this binder, I think it needs to be organized. Since I’m trying to do a better job menu planning, it’s time to organize this mess, because it’s near impossible to plan a menu when you have no recipes ideas.
This round of organization is bit different than the previous attempt. First I decided to use a smaller binder 5.5 by 8.5. Yes it’s an odd size, but the original binder didn’t fit well in the cupboard. I’ve also abandoned the page protectors. They make the folder thicker, and it’s hard to write notes on the recipe with the page protector. Here’s what I have so far:

Now I just need to get the rest of my recipes in the new binder.

This gives me some motivation to create my own recipe binders! I have a question about your spice labels that I found via a Google search. If you get a chance, could you email me at stephanie at stephaniemicheleevents . com ? I couldn’t find your contact info on here for the life of me (and it’s prob right in front of my face)
