Trying to Watch Lost

lost-logo.jpg

I consider myself a loyal Lost fan. It’s the only TV show that I follow weekly. In spite of my loyalty, I have a few complaint, in not particular order.

  • New time, Thursday at 8:00 pm MT. The time and the place aren’t working for me. Last year, Wednesday at 9:00 pm MT, worked so well. OK, I can already hear the rebuttal from my brother. This wouldn’t be an issue if I had a DVR. That’s beside the point.
  • Extra scenes. So when I do watch an episode at the appointed time, I’m not getting the full story. Nope! I need to watch Good Morning America or follow some other gimick to get the full espisode. If this doesn’t happen, I can catch the “enhanced” episode a week later. Now I can see why this works for ABC. They get twice the mileage from one episode. However it isn’t working for me.
  • No new episodes until April 25. Now I could actually watch an episode tonight (the regular time). This would be the first time this month. I guess I’m going to have to actually work on a project. At least I’m not behind on my episodes. My saving grace? Downloading episodes on the web.

Thanks for listening to this little rant.

  • I just discovered your blog and have had an excellent time looking at your quilts, your projects, and your books.
First, my comment about Lost: my friends who watch Lost were just complaining about the same thing. For me, who has no regular tv, I just watch them on the abc website–I am just on episode 1, though, and figure I will be caught up well, I guess next year sometime!!!

Also, about your books: I am listening to Eat, Pray, Love while at the sewing machine. At the beginning I wanted to slap her because she seemed so whiny. But after her India stay I decided she could hang around a bit more. I recommend to you a book I am halfway through called Field of Darkness by Cornelia Read. It is a mystery, but not a quickie throwaway like the Stephanie Plum books. It is literary but sly and fun.

Sorry so long, but thanks again for your blogging.

  • None of this would be a problem if you had
    DVR – your brother.

  • I hear ya! Thank goodness for TIVO. LOST is the only TV show I watch with any regularity. And even though the quality has gone downhill since season one I’m in it til the end!
