Made by Me
Jun 28, 2007 Sewing
After spending the last week camping, I needed a quick craft fix. I decided to make labels for things that I make. This is what I came up with.

This isn’t the best picture. First, I created the image in Photoshop. I wanted to keep it simple. I decided that just using my name was all that really needed to be said. So I elimated the graphics that said “Made by…”. I printed the graphics on transfer paper. If you do this remember to make a mirror image of whatever you are printing. I ironed the transfer on to 1″ twill tape for the tabs and 1/2″ twill tape for the long labels.
I have one concern. I used polyester twill tape. That’s all that Joann’s had in stock. It might be all that they even carry. Ugh. So far it looks ok. I’m not sure how they’ll hold up in the wash.
In the future, I’d like to order custom woven tags. Until I can justify the expense, I’ll have fun playing with transfer paper and twill tape.

This is on my to do list as well. I must make tags for my creatures! LOL Yours look pretty cute and I’m curious to know how they hold up.

Oh, those look great! I’ve been meaning to get some myself; maybe this year it’ll actually happen.
Hey, let us know if you come across cotton twill tape. I’ve never been able to locate it at our JoAnn’s, either, which is the only game in town right now. hmpf
