Halloween decor
An article by Rachel
Comments Off For reasons unknown to myself, I have a tendency to start large projects that take months to finish. Then I get bored and discourage when I don’t get to finish anything. Sometimes I just need a quick fix.Yet, I don’t want to start ANOTHER project. Right now, I’m trying to finish up a bunch of projects. I want to cross items off my to do list, not add more.
Well, two weeks a go, I relented. I decided I need to do something quick and dirty. After looking through my magazine, wandering through the craft store, and seeing a bunch of new fall fabric, I decide to make some Halloween decor, something simple.
The result:

I like my Jack-o-lantern, ghost (my favorite), and cat. They brighten up my hall way. I tried really hard to get a picture without a glare. I’m never home to when the sun doesn’t glare into the hallway.
Details:
- Frames 11 x 14, 2 for $6 at Michael’s
- Pumpkin, ghost, & cat are wool
- The letters are cotton
- I did the buttonhole stitch by hand with 2 strands of floss
Now I’m afraid that I’ll need to dome up with something to feel this space after Halloween comes and goes.
