My Favorite Shape

Comments Off Quilting is all about shaps. During my short quilting career (I seriously started quilting in 2002), I’ve adoped a favorite shape: The Hexagon.
Why do I like the hexagon? It can be divided into two (half-hexagon), three (diamonds), or six (triangles) pieces.
When the shapes are colored with different values, optical illusions appear. Quilts based on the hexagon have a lot of visual appeal.
Personnally, my experience with hexagons is limited to hexagon table decorations and my work-in-progress charm quilt. I see more hexagons in my future.
